How It All Began

It was fall of 2015, and Brooke, a freshman at USC, decided to follow in her family’s footsteps, and hang out at the Sammy house with her brother, her cousins, and their fraternity brothers. Not long after, Brooke’s cousin, Reed, noticed that Brooke had been spending more and more time at his place; the place he happened to share with someone else - Mark.

Brooke and Mark tried to keep things casual at first, knowing Mark would be leaving for Asia the following year. But after a summer of Birthright, birthdays, and back and forth drives between Los Angeles and San Diego, they knew there was no way they could say goodbye.

Brooke picked up a long-haired Mark from the airport four months later, and the rest, including the long hair, is history.

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
